With a history that spans many generations, the Austral has stood strong against many hardships, forcing landmark outcomes to be talked about for generations. Most recently the fight for live music and entertainment in the heart of our fair city, where it rightly belongs. Tackling the dampening of venues such as the Austral to make way for towers of hotels and apartments saw a great change occur throughout the city. Emerging from this fight the Austral lives on to cater for those that love nothing more than to see our talented local musicians share their wares whilst sipping a pint and munching on a burger in the afternoon sun.
